Tom Heeren, DDS, MSD
After earning his dental degree from the University of Tennessee, Dr. Heeren served as a military dental officer for four years in the U.S. Navy. He completed a general practice residency at the National Naval Medical Center, “The President’s Hospital.” before practicing for more than 4000 active-duty patients in support of Marine Corps units en route to their missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. During his tour with the USMC, Dr. Heeren deployed for eight months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom where he was the sole provider of dental services in the western Iraq area of operations. Upon returning, Dr. Heeren earned his Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics and a Master’s of Science in Dentistry at the Medical University of South Carolina. During his free time, Dr. Heeren plays the guitar, enjoys live music and a variety of sports and outdoor activities.
Ben F. Locke, Jr., DDS, MSD
Dr. Ben F. Locke, Jr. is originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee and a graduate of the Baylor School for Boys in 1964. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for two years and then the U.T. College of Dentistry in Memphis where he graduated in 1969 with a D.D.S. degree. He was a general dentist for 8 years in Chattanooga before earning his Certificate in Endodontics and a Masters of Science in Dentistry from the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry.
Since that time, Dr. Locke has been in private practice limited to Endodontics in Nashville, Tennessee. Outside of the practice, he enjoys golf, jogging and spending time with his wife of 45 years Lucy, their fours sons and their seven grandchildren.
Lorel E. Burns, DDS
A Nashville native, Dr. Lorel E. Burns, DDS graduated fromMLK Jr. Academic Magnet High School. She went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania for her bachelor’s degree before moving to New York City to earn her dental degree at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Burns returned to Philadelphia after dental school and earned her Postgraduate Certificate in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In her free time, Dr. Burns enjoys reading, exploring as a foodie, and hiking.
Steven Todd, DDS
After graduating from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2008, Dr. Steven Todd entered active duty service in the US Army. In those years of service, he has served overseas in both Germany and Afghanistan and has been accepted to and completed two separate, advanced residency programs in general dentistry and endodontics.
Dr. Todd is currently board certified by the American Board of General Dentistry and is in the process of pursuing board certification in endodontics from the American Board of Endodontics. He is currently stationed at Fort Campbell Kentucky where he is a mentor for the US Army Advanced Education in General Dentistry. His highest priority is the comfort and safety of his patients, and it’s his goal is to provide a superior level of customer service.
In his spare time, Dr. Todd loves spending time outdoors with his wife of seven years and their two very active little boys, Levi and Luke. He also enjoys golfing, running, brewing beer and watching college sports.
Annika Marschall, DMD
Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Annika Marschall graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Boston and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After completing a hospital-based General Practice Residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, she returned to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she received her Endodontic degree.
During her endodontic residency, Dr. Marschall was very involved in research and even taught during the Endodontic Microsurgery course. An active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists, she was recognized for her excellent work on the Dental Benefits Committee for the American Association of Endodontists. In her free time, Dr. Marschall enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, reading and a variety of fitness activities.
Ashley Bryant grew up in a small Kentucky town called Princeton before becoming a Hilltopper at Western Kentucky University where she studied education. Ashley has worked in the dental field for 13 years, and she uses that experience in her extensive role as Regional Manager. Outside of the office, Ashley loves spending time with her daughter, Piper, and they both enjoy boating and being outdoors.
